Andorra was an incredible destination, offering a mix of natural beauty, history, and charm. Our time in Andorra la Vella, the capital city, was a great introduction to the country. We spent a lot of time exploring the narrow streets and unique shops, but the highlight of the day was definitely our visit to the Casa de la Vall museum. The museum, housed in a historic 16th-century building, gave us a fascinating glimpse into Andorra’s history, politics, and culture. It was amazing to learn about how this small country operates, and the views from the museum over the surrounding landscape were just breathtaking. After our time in the city, we made our way to Les Escapades, where we stayed at the top of a hill. The location offered the perfect balance of peace and natural beauty, with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. The property itself was cozy and welcoming, making it the perfect retreat after a day of sightseeing. The fresh mountain air and tranquil surroundings were just what we needed to unwind and soak in the beauty of the region. Andorra’s combination of history, culture, and stunning landscapes made for a wonderful experience. Exploring Andorra la Vella and visiting the Casa de la Vall was a great way to connect with the country’s past, while staying at Les Escapades allowed us to enjoy the serene beauty of the mountains. We left Andorra feeling like we had truly discovered a hidden gem in Europe.
