We spent three days at Valle Nevado, and while the skiing was just okay, the views made it totally worth the trip! Jared hit the slopes while I soaked in the scenery, and we both came away loving the mountain for different reasons. The skiing itself wasn’t the most exciting—Valle Nevado’s a pretty small mountain, and Jared found the runs a bit limited compared to other places we’ve been. But if you’re looking for a laid-back day of skiing in a beautiful spot, it’s still a fun way to spend some time in the Andes. The snow was decent, and since it wasn’t too crowded, Jared was able to enjoy the peacefulness of the mountain. As for me, I was happy to skip the slopes and just enjoy the incredible views. Honestly, the scenery was the highlight of the trip. Sitting outside with a hot tea, looking out over the snow-covered Andes, was breathtaking. You can see mountains stretching out in every direction, and the bright blue sky against the white peaks is something I could never get tired of. Even though I wasn’t skiing, being up there was the perfect way to spend a relaxing day. After Jared finished skiing, we met up at one of the terraces to grab a drink and watch the sunset over the mountains. It was one of those moments that makes you feel like you’re in a postcard. So, while the skiing at Valle Nevado might not be the most thrilling, it’s definitely worth visiting for the epic views. Whether you’re skiing or just taking in the scenery, you’ll love spending time in the Andes!
