We recently spent a day hiking in Parque Aguas de Ramón, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our time in Santiago. The park is just outside the city, but it feels like a whole different world—lush, green, and perfect for getting out in nature. The hike we did was a bit challenging but totally worth it. The trail winds through beautiful forests and across streams, with views of the Andes constantly popping up along the way. The landscape was stunning, and even though it got a bit steep at times, we enjoyed the variety—some parts were shady and cool, while other sections had wide-open views of the mountains. The park was really well-maintained, and we were impressed by how easy it was to follow the trails. Plus, the scenery was constantly changing, which kept things interesting the whole time. Even though the hike took most of the day, we didn’t mind—the combination of mountain views, rivers, and waterfalls made it feel like a true escape from city life. If you’re in Santiago and looking for a solid day hike, Parque Aguas de Ramón is definitely worth checking out. Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or just looking to spend some time outdoors, it’s got something for everyone! Just be sure to bring plenty of water and snacks, because you’ll want to enjoy every moment out there.
