We spent an adventurous day exploring the Princess Margaret Caves, and it was such a fun change from our usual outdoor treks. Equipped with headlamps and a lot of excitement, we headed into the dark passages, ready to do some real spelunking. The caves are a bit hidden, and getting to them already felt like we were discovering something secret and ancient. Once inside, we were amazed by the unique rock formations—stalactites and stalagmites everywhere, twisting and forming strange shapes that made the whole cave feel otherworldly. The headlamps were a lifesaver, giving us just enough light to see each step but still keeping that cool, shadowy atmosphere. And then, the highlight of our spelunking adventure: bats! As we moved deeper into the caves, we spotted a few of them hanging from the ceiling, barely noticing us as they snoozed; some were even flying overhead. It was so surreal seeing them up close, and they added an extra thrill to the experience. We were careful not to disturb them, but it was incredible to be that close to these little cave dwellers. Exploring Princess Margaret Caves was an awesome experience, and if you’re up for a little adventure (and don’t mind a few bats!), it’s definitely worth it. Going through these caves felt like stepping into another world, and we loved every moment of it.
