Hiking the 7 Cascades (or Tamarind Falls) in Mauritius was such an incredible adventure! This place is a series of seven waterfalls tucked away in the lush Mauritian forest, and getting there was half the fun. The trail was challenging at times, with steep sections and slippery rocks, but every step was worth it for the amazing views and the chance to get up close to the waterfalls. Each waterfall had its own unique charm—some were wide and powerful, others narrow and tucked away like hidden gems. We even got to swim in a few of the natural pools at the base of the falls, which was so refreshing after hiking in the heat! Being surrounded by the sound of the rushing water, with the dense jungle all around, felt like something out of a dream. Along the way, we spotted some cool wildlife, too, like colorful birds and little lizards. And the views from the trail? Absolutely stunning! Looking out over the lush valley with waterfalls cascading below made the entire hike feel like we were in our own private slice of paradise. If you’re in Mauritius and up for a bit of adventure, hiking the 7 Cascades is a must. It’s a challenging hike, but being surrounded by these gorgeous waterfalls made it one of the most memorable experiences of our trip!
